Dragon Ball-themed survival co-op game

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a premium action title made by developer Dimps. It's a Dragon Ball-themed survival game that can be played solo or in multiplayer co-op mode. It follows a band of seven Survivors as they avoid and escape from the Raiders and their relentless attacks.

Compared to other Dragon Ball games like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot or Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the focus of Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be on the franchise's supporting characters up against some memorable villains. However, long match-up times can be frustrating to deal with.

What is it all about?

In Dragon Ball: The Breakers, you take on the role of one of the seven ordinary citizens called Survivors as they mysteriously find themselves trapped inside a Temporal Stream after temporal phenomena occurred. You are not alone though, as you also find yourself sharing the same plane with some of the most recognizable villains from another timeline, and they are referred to as the Raiders.

The only way out is through the Super Time Machine. It is a race against time as you and your fellow Survivors work together to complete missions and objectives to collect power keys, while a Raider that is growing ever stronger is hot on your trail. Use all the power keys to summon the time machine and be able to go back home to your world and timeline.

The game will let you customize through progression as you choose from the various skills and skins that will affect how you play. There will also be weapons and power-ups scattered throughout maps that will help you outmaneuver and outwit your dangerous pursuer. Unfortunately, as mentioned, waiting for a match to connect can take way too long. Game lagging is also frequent.

Exciting content in Season 6

Dragon Ball: The Breakers’s sixth season comes with a slew of thrilling content, including a new Raider and Transphere and some Survivor Skins. It introduces Baby as a Raider, with the unique ability of being able to manipulate Survivors and civilians to use them against other Survivors. As he levels up, he goes through different forms—Baby Vegeta at Level 2, Super Baby 2 at Level 3, and Great Ape Baby at Level 4.

Meanwhile, acquiring the new Transphere, Goku (Super Saiyan 3), will unlock the Dragon Fist super attack. Such a potent move can deal insane damage to the Raider and activate high-speed movement. Finally, the new Skins are Launch (Blonde), Launch (Blue Hair), and Bulla (GT)—using these will also unlock their respective special skills.

An interesting new entry

In conclusion, Dragon Ball: The Breakers offers an engaging experience where players, as ordinary citizens known as Survivors, must escape a Temporal Stream by working together to summon the Super Time Machine. The game pits these Survivors against formidable Raiders, iconic villains from different timelines, creating a tense race against time. Customization through skills, skins, weapons, and power-ups adds depth to the gameplay, allowing for various strategic approaches.
